Hungary: the Alpini engaged in the Noble Imperat exercise

The training of the Italian contingent deployed in Hungary as part of the operation continues enhanced Vigilance Activity (eVA) for the tutorial Noble Imperat, one of the most important exercises in opposing parties.

The exercise saw the troops of the Atlantic Alliance engaged in the planning, preparation and conduct of defensive, enabling and offensive tactical activities as well as in the performance of R3P (Rearm, Refuel, Resupply Point) logistic activities during the day and night. All of this was developed in a scenario characterized by CBRN risk and the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) threat.

The Italian component on an Alpine brigade basis Julia composed of units of the 8th alpine regiment, Piedmont Cavalry (2nd), 3rd (mountain) land artillery regiment and 2nd sapper engineer regiment during the seven days of exercise, two of which were continuous activity, planned, prepared and conducted a defensive activity of Delay (braking) aimed at delaying and blocking the enemy advance through the simulated use of artillery fire on FH 70, 120 mm mortars and the action of the infantry component on VTLM Lince and BV 206 S7.

The Exercise has in fact sanctioned the end of the "PRIME 1.23" phase which had as its purpose the training warfighting individual and collective for integration between battlegroup units.

With the "Noble Imperat 1/23" exercise, the training and operational commitments of the battle group deployed in Hungary which effectively enters the new phase called "Rising" aimed at achieving the FOC (Full Operational Capability) in the month of May.​
