In recent days, the Italian contingent has been part of the operation First Parthica he conducted training activities at the Erbil air base and in the shooting ranges near the Kurdish city.
The activities had the dual purpose of ensuring the maintenance and increase of the operational efficiency of the personnel employed, at the same time improving coordination with the military personnel of the other contingents of the coalition.
Shooting lessons were conducted with the individual armament provided, together with Hungarian and Estonian colleagues, together with activities aboard NH-90 helicopters of the Air Task Group "Griffon".
An exercise on the management of first aid and stabilization emergencies called "MASCAL EXE" (Massive Casualties Exercise) was also launched, which involved the ROLE 1 type health facility of the Italian contingent and ROLE 2 of the coalition.
Also relevant was the CBRN EXE, an exercise aimed at testing the reaction procedures in the event of a CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) attack, which also saw the setting up of an operational decontamination point for personnel and vehicles.
The activity was conducted by specialist personnel from the 7th CBRN Defense Regiment Cremona of Civitavecchia.
The activities carried out in the operational theater are conducted under the coordination and according to the directives given by the operational command of interforce forces (COVI).
