Lebanon: the Italian contingent continues to support schools in the area of ​​responsibility

In recent days, the Italian soldiers of "Leonte XXIII", have organized a series of donations to some schools, in the areas where they currently operate, in southern Lebanon.

In parallel with the many operational activities, the ITALBATT blue helmets, thanks to the generosity of some Italian associations, were able to donate to the young Lebanese students various materials and teaching aids to be able to carry out the lessons in their first years of study.

The director of the school in the town of Al Naqoura and Colonel Cristian Margheriti, commander of ITALBATT, highlighted how supporting the development of today's young students is a concrete step towards a better future for the nation, wherever it is in the world.

The support activities for the local population and the contact with local schools and their managers are an essential aspect for the mission of the Italians of UNIFIL, both because they guarantee maximum adherence to the needs of the population but also because they represent an undoubted support to the maneuver. of the operating units.
