La Joint Multimodal Operational Unit (JMOU) conducted, at the military airport of Pristina, a series of activities aimed at guaranteeing the scheduled rotations of the Italian contingent deployed in the operation.

Upon arrival at the airport, departing staff were indoctrinated on the risks and limitations concerning the flight and subjected to a series of checks, in compliance with the procedures established by airport security standards.

The personal baggage was subjected to CBRN and X-ray checks, in order to guarantee an adequate level of safety for materials in transit on the national territory.

JMOU personnel, assisted by a Military Police (MP) team, coordinated the entire cycle of operations.

The JMOU is a specialist joint force composed of soldiers from the Army, Navy and Air Force, which has the task of ensuring the rotation of the Italian contingent deployed in the operation as well as supplies from Italy.

Part of the Western regional command of the Italian-led NATO KFOR mission, in the last six months the JMOU has guaranteed a continuous flow of movements, covering thousands of kilometers in order to reach ports and airports for the embarkation and disembarkation of men, means and materials to and from the homeland.
