Kosovo: the Italian contingent donates furniture for the disabled

A project concluded yesterday in the municipality of Orahovac/Rahovec Civil and Military Cooperation CIMIC which saw the Italian soldiers of the Regional Command West (RC-W) based on the 11th Bersaglieri Regiment involved in the donation of furnishings for rooms used to welcome children with disabilities, in favor of a primary school in Orahovac/Rahovec .

Civil and military authorities were present at the delivery ceremony, including the commander of the western regional command, Colonel Gabriele Vacca, together with the mayor and the councilor for culture of the municipality.

The project, born from the fruitful collaboration between the CIMIC cell of RC-W and the culture councilor of Orahovac/Rahovec, aims to improve the structures present in the area, in order to create suitable places for children with disabilities , increasing the accessibility and accommodation capacity of the institute for the benefit of the entire community.

The donation is part of the numerous activities to support the development of local institutions that the Italian contingent conducts on a six-monthly basis.

The Italian contingent of the Kosovo Force (KFOR), in line with United Nations Security Council resolution 1244 of 1999, contributes to maintaining a safe and secure environment, as well as freedom of movement for all communities living in Kosovo, at the same time promoting beneficial activities under the direction of the Joint Forces top operational command.
