A donation of basic necessities to families affected by the recent flood that affected the municipality of Pec/Peje. The support was guaranteed by the Carabinieri della Multinational Specialized Unit of KFOR (Kosovo Force).

The staff specialized in Civil/Military cooperation (Civil and Military Cooperation - CIMIC ), after collecting the needs of the community, donated food supplies and clothing to the inhabitants shaken by the tragic event, bringing tangible help to the inhabitants of the area.

The CIMIC units, thanks to the widespread presence on the territory of the carabinieri, employed in maintaining security, identify critical issues and promote initiatives to help the Kosovar communities through funds and projects endorsed by the operational command of interforce forces (COVI), in collaboration with the Red Cross and local voluntary organizations, without distinction of ethnicity, religious belief or political orientation, aimed at promoting the development of the stability process in the area.

As part of the NATO-KFOR mission, Italy's contribution is today the highest among the 27 participating countries.

The Italian contingent, as established by United Nations Security Council resolution 1244, works to guarantee security and stability, as well as to maintain a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo.
