KFOR: Regional Command West hosts meeting of mayors of western Kosovo

The meeting between the mayors, councilors and representatives of minorities of all 15 municipalities of western Kosovo was held at Camp Villaggio Italia, headquarters of KFOR's Regional Command West (RC-W).

The meeting was held with the aim of facilitating discussion and dialogue between the representatives of the various communities who insist on the vast area of ​​responsibility of RC–W. 

Also present were the mayor of L'Aquila, Pierluigi Biondi, the city where the 9th Alpini regiment is based, and the president of the "Abruzzi" section of theNational Alpine Association, Pietro D'Alfonso, to finalize a project planned and coordinated by the cell of Civil and Military Cooperation of RC-W, relating to the donation of 38 defibrillators destined for secondary schools in the municipalities. 

“KFOR – underlined Colonel Mario Bozzi, commander of RC-W – supports the development of a stable, multi-ethnic and peaceful Kosovo and also works to guarantee freedom of movement throughout the region, with the common intention of supporting a peaceful coexistence among all the inhabitants of Kosovo, considering diversity as a multiplier of strength" .
