eVA Bulgaria: work for the Italian-led NATO mission

The second was held on 28 and 29 March Force Generation Conference of enhanced Vigilance Activity Battlegroup Bulgaria , Force Sensing Conference (FSC).

They took part in the works, conducted at the headquarters of the Joint Force Command Bulgarian, also representatives of the Multinational Division South East and Multinational Corporation South East, both NATO commands.

La Force Generation Conference it was an opportunity to take stock of the future rotations of the units that will make up the battery group of NATO, as well as to examine the specific aspects of the mission: from joint training activities to the composition of theHeadquarters up to the logistical support provided to the deployed units.

During the Force Sensing Conference the representatives of the participating countries have provided the initial elements that will allow the elevation of the battelgroup to the level brigade.

The event, chaired by the planning and exercises department head of the operational command of interforce forces (COVI) division admiral Fabio Agostini, saw the participation of a staff of the COVI, the command of the Land Operational Forces / Army Operational Command and representatives of the Troop Contributing Nations (Bulgaria, Greece, Montenegro, United States of America, North Macedonia, Turkey), or allied countries that field troops, materials and equipment for the mission.

In his speech, Admiral Agostini thanked the Bulgarian allies and the representatives of the allied nations for the contributions presented, emphasizing how "the unity of purpose and cohesion that emerged in the two days of work testify to the willingness of the participating nations to give concrete follow-up to the principles indicated by the Defense Ministers at the NATO summit in Madrid where fundamental decisions were taken for collective defense and for the security of the Alliance”.

With commitment like Framework Nation current battle group and of the future brigade in Bulgaria, Italy confirms its strong will to contribute to the commitment of the Atlantic Alliance for the strengthening of the borders on the eastern flank.

During the two days of work, Admiral Agostini had the opportunity to meet the Italian ambassador in Sofia Giuseppina Zarra and the Bulgarian military leaders, including the chief of defense staff Admiral Emil Eftimov, the commander and the deputy commander of the Bulgarian Joint Forces Command, Major General Valeri Konstantinov Tsolov and Brigadier General Hristo Ventsislavov Ganetsovski respectively.
