The ceremony for the rotation of the soldiers of the North Macedonian contingent engaged in the battle group multinational of NATO (MNBG Bulgaria), one of the 4 newly established within the "enhanced Vigilance Activity" initiative aimed at increasing the deterrence capacity of the Atlantic Alliance along the eastern flank of Europe.
Present at the handover was the commander of the battle group, Colonel Andrea Fraticelli who wanted to thank the military personnel for the work done and North Macedonia for having made available an organized and prepared contingent that successfully participated in the training activities carried out in Bulgaria during the six months of his mandate.
North Macedonia is one of the contributing countries of the NATO multinational battle group Bulgaria which sees Italy in the role of leading nation since October 2022, to which are added the contributions of Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Montenegro, Turkey and the United States.
