A voluntary blood donation to respond to a temporary critical situation in Bulgarian medical-hospital structures.
It was the gesture of solidarity of around sixty Italian soldiers of the 6th Bersaglieri Regiment and the other units of the national contingent of the multinational battle group Bulgaria, who responded to the request of the regional center for transfusions and hematology of Stara Zagora, through the US Red Cross team.
Over 60 bags of blood were collected at the health facility of the Novo Selo training base.
The commander of the multinational battle group Bulgaria, Colonel Michelangelo Genchi, who personally joined the solidarity initiative, expressed heartfelt thanks to the US Red Cross and the Bulgarian medical team "for their constant commitment to those in difficulty and for the initiative undertaken" .
