During the stop in Haifa, penultimate stage of the Ship Campaign Mimbelli before returning to Italy, the delegations of the unit's crew and the students of the course Aghenor of the 2nd class of the Naval Academy of Livorno on board were able to visit, last September 9, the places of the Holy Land and meet the Latin patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Pierbattista Pizzaballa.

The patriarch wanted to greet all the crew and students in a common assembly before the cultural visit of the city began. The visit to Jerusalem began from the Tower of David and the Cenacle room, then passing through the Garden of Gethsemane, the Wailing Wall, until retracing the entire Via Dolorosa to arrive at the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre, where, through the direct intercession of Custodian of the Holy Land, solemn entry to the sacred place was reserved for Navy personnel.

The visit ended in the late afternoon, after a long but engaging walk. "It's impressive how dense these places are, in every corner, with history and culture coming from different roots that coexist together" this is what the 2nd student reported. Delia Lubrano at the end of her first visit to these places.

The students of the Naval Academy of Livorno and the entire crew finally returned to the ship with an intense experience behind them, a great wealth of knowledge to preserve.
