(To Comsubin)
10/02/17

It took place today, inside the Diving and Raiders Command "Teseo Tesei", the traditional ceremony of granting patents to the students of the 2016 ordinary diver course. In the presence of Comsubin's commander, rear-admiral Paolo Pezzutti, a wreath of flowers was also deposited in memory of the fallen of the Regrouping, offered by the Association of Military Marine divers on leave who last year restored the dedicated chapel at their own expense to the Christ the King, located in the Varignano promontory.

This moment celebrates the end of an intense training period lasting 10 months, through which it was possible to select 7 young Navy soldiers who, from today, will continue their service in the ranks of the Diving Operations Group (GOS) of Comsubin, between training and operational missions. Commitments that the GOS, as an excellence in the field of national defense in the maritime context, extends not only to the military field, but also to numerous activities in favor of the community, especially in the health, scientific and social fields.

Numerous interventions aimed at reclaiming Italian coastlines from war surpluses, hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments for emergency cases linked to carbon monoxide poisoning and collaboration with the ENEA Research Institute, which led the latter to adopt the rules of the Italian Navy to conduct underwater activities in the context of Italian expeditions to Antarctica.
