Shortly in the Official Gazette - 4th special series - of the Italian Republic will be published the call for applications for the recruitment of officers of the special roles of the Navy reserved for young people in possession of a master's or three-year degree and under the age of 32.
The competition in question for 2017 provides for the recruitment of 5 officers with the rank of Ensign of the following Corps:
1 for graduates in biology or medical, veterinary and pharmaceutical biotechnology for the Maritime Military Health Corps;
1 for graduates in veterinary medicine for the Maritime Military Health Corps;
3 for graduates in naval engineering (first level three-year degree) for the Port Authority Corps.
The master classes admitted to participation will be better specified in the notice of competition (Art. 2).
The competition includes the following phases:
a) two written tests (one of general culture and one of technical-scientific culture);
b) evaluation of merit qualifications;
c) psycho-physical assessments;
d) aptitude assessment;
e) physical performance test;
f) oral test;
g) optional oral test in a foreign language.
The programs of the subjects covered by the written test of technical and scientific culture will be reported in the competition announcement.
Admission to the course of the winners will take place approximately in the month of September 2017. The application course, which will take place at the Naval Academy, will last less than one academic year.
