Leonardo and International Golden Group: agreement for strategic partnerships in cyber security

Leonardo and International Golden Group PJSC (IGG), a company active in the defense and security sector based in Abu Dhabi, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of building long-term strategic alliances in the Middle East in the cyber security sector. The two companies will define areas of potential cooperation to launch specific projects in the United Arab Emirates, with a focus on the design and construction of security operations centers (Security Operations Centers) for local government agencies. The agreement was announced on the occasion of ITASEC17, the Italian conference dedicated to cyber security held by the 17 at the 20 January in Venice, in which Leonardo also participates.

Partner of the Armed Forces, of the Ministry of the Interior and of other UAE security agencies, IGG develops and supplies advanced technologies and solutions thanks to its capabilities in system integration and proven experience in product development.

Leonardo is an international leader in the design, implementation and support of information security solutions. The company has developed specific competences over the course of over thirty years of activity in the cyber security sector and has recently established, together with other industrial and governmental partners, the "European Cyber ​​Security Organization", a public-private association that has the goal of creating synergies in European investment programs and promoting growth in the sector.

Key project in the field of information security is the "turnkey" system developed by Leonardo for the NATO NCIRC program - FOC (Computer Incident Response Capability - Full Operational Capability), which allows to guarantee the security of information and ICT infrastructures for 70.000 NATO users in 29 different countries.

Leonardo already provides security solutions in the Middle East region, including telecommunications and security systems for the Emirates' national rail network and the Riyadh metro. The company has also provided a state-of-the-art system to manage civil and military air traffic control for Doha's Hamad international airport.
