The Irish Department of Defense orders two Airbus C295 aircraft

The Irish Department of Defense announced the acquisition of two Airbus C295 transport aircraft in the configuration for maritime surveillance.

With this new order, the Irish Air Corps will become the 33rd C295 worldwide operator. Both aircraft will be equipped with the Fully Integrated Tactical System (Fully Integrated Tactical System, FITS) and with special avant-garde sensors together with the new Collins Aerospace Pro Line Fusion avionics.
