Boeing, in its 2017 Current Market Outlook (CMO) presented at the Dubai Airshow, predicted that Middle Eastern airlines will need 3.350 new aircraft over the next 20 years, worth an estimated $ 730 billion.

"Air traffic in the Middle East will grow, according to forecasts, by 5,6% annually over the next two decades"Said Randy Tinseth, vice president of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Marketing. "The fact that 85% of the world's population lives at eight hours of Arabian Gulf flight, along with solid business models and infrastructure investment, allows Middle Eastern carriers to channel traffic through their hubs and offer a service one-stop between many cities".

Planes twin-aisle will account for up to about 50% of new planes in the Middle East and over 70% of total value, for approximately $ 520 billion. Both percentages are significantly higher than the world average. The strong long-term demand for widebody aircraft has been strengthened during the show, with the commitment announced by Emirates Airlines to the acquisition of 40 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, in an agreement of 15,1 billion dollars to the current price list .

Over half of the total deliveries to the Middle East will be made up of single-aisle planes, such as the 737 MAX. Local operators will need 1.770 single-aisle planes for $ 190 billions of dollars, thanks to the growth of low-cost carriers.

Boeing's presence and support in the Middle East also includes Global Services, the third and most recent Boeing business unit, which is expanding its service capabilities to better support airlines and aircraft in the country.

Global Services quickly provides innovative solutions to the market by focusing on 4 capabilities: supply chain, engineering, modification and maintenance, digital aviation and analytics, and training and professional services.

Boeing's expertise in services, its global reach, and strong partnerships with local customers position the company well to compete and win.

"From the formation of the future generation of pilots to the creation of custom solutions, the combined commercial and defense services market has an estimated value of 2,6 trillion dollars in the next 10 years and includes solid opportunities in the Middle East"Added Tinseth.

Worldwide, Boeing has predicted a long-term demand for new 41.030 aircraft, worth $ 6,1 trillion dollars. These new aircraft will replace old and less efficient ones, leveraging companies and passengers, and boosting growth in emerging markets and innovation in airline business models.
