The event, organized by the parà in order to raise funds for the palliative care association of Livorno, brought about 500 spectators on the stands and in the field excellent names of a Livorno that proved to be actually glorious and, to be honest, not just "old". Guided by Igor Protti, in fact, the former Livorno have set themselves for 5-1, with a hat-trick signed Cristiano Lucarelli. Special guest, Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini.
The initiative, also sponsored by the Municipality, which has granted the use of the municipal stadium, has raised funds for 2000 €, arousing the enthusiasm of the president of the association, Dr. Francesca Luschi. On the other hand, this evening's appointment is added to what the parachutists of the "Folgore" do for solidarity purposes and to witness the attention they dedicate to issues as delicate as they are widespread and that sometimes they do not receive due attention.
Just a month ago, the Paratroopers Brigade Command had successfully revived the "Folgore No Limits", the event dedicated to "differently able" sport. Now this initiative, strongly desired by Colonel Angelo Sacco, commander of the 187 Parachute Regiment " Folgore ", in favor of another association deeply rooted in the territory.
Palliative care is born with the aim of giving meaning and dignity to the life of the patient until the end, bringing relief to the sick without hope of healing, alleviating the pain. "Being important until the end" recites the basic principle of palliative care and this evening, a part of Livorno has given the right importance.
