Flight from Naples to Linate to save a life

A man of about 50 years in critical health conditions was transferred urgently, from Naples to Linate, to allow his immediate hospitalization at the Niguarda hospital in Milan.

The transport by air, necessary given the critical conditions of the man, was requested by the prefecture of Naples to the Top Situation Room of the General Staff of the Italian Air Force which, immediately, ordered the activation of the medical flight, carried out with a Falcon 50 aircraft of the 31 ° Stormo of Ciampino (RM).

The aircraft, which landed at 03.50 at the Milan (Linate) military airport, landed the patient accompanied by a family member and was then immediately transferred to the Milan hospital with a 118 medical car. Once the operations were completed, the aircraft was took off at 04:40 for Ciampino.

The Airport Command / Headquarters of the 1st Milan-Linate Air Region has the task of guaranteeing 24-hour assistance to institutional aircraft, as well as to aircraft engaged for medical flights and humanitarian missions in transit in Milan and to support, from a logistical point of view -Administrative, Bodies and Departments of the Air Force and Joint Forces of the 1st Air Region Command / Command of the Joint Military Presidium and of the Linate Military Airport Command.
