(To air Force)
02/09/15

Yesterday a C-130J of the 46th Air Brigade of Pisa, took off to urgently transport a man who needed to be transferred in a very short time from the San Camillo hospital in Rome to the Molinette in Turin, where he was expected for a transplant kidney.

The C130J took off from Pisa to Rome Ciampino, where it picked up the patient and left for Turin.

During the flight, the Air Force personnel, a doctor and two non-commissioned officers from the 31st Wing of Ciampino, constantly monitored the conditions of the man who arrived in the Piedmontese capital and was transferred by ambulance to the Le Molinette hospital.

The request for air transport was sent by the prefecture of Rome to the Summit Situation Room of the Air Squad Command of the Italian Air Force which ordered the immediate take-off of a C-130J of the 46th Pisa Air Brigade.
