Trapani: the 82 ° CSAR helps German cruiser

Yesterday evening, at 21.55 pm, an HH-139 helicopter of the 82 ° CSAR Center (Combat Search and Rescue) of the 15th Wing of the Italian Air Force was alerted to carry out the recovery of a XNUMX-year-old German on board the cruise ship " AIDA Bella ".

The helicopter, on the order of Air Operations Command of Poggio Renatico, in coordination with National Maritime Rescue Coordination Center of the Coast Guard, took off from Trapani airport quickly reaching the ship bound for Malta, intercepting it at about 80 nautical miles west of Trapani.

The crew of the HH139 embarked the German citizen suffering from gastric perforation, together with medical personnel on board the ship, and then immediately returned to the Trapani Birgi base, where he landed at 23:25.

Here the patient was loaded into an ambulance and was urgently transported to the "Sant'Antonio Abate" Hospital in Trapani.
