On order of the prefecture of Milan and under the coordination of the Situation Room of the Rome Air Squad, an HH-139 helicopter of the 85 ° Combat SAR Group of Pratica di Mare and a Falcon 50 of Ciampino's 31 ° Stormo worked on Saturday night together to save the life of a man suffering from a severe respiratory stress syndrome.

The Falcon 50 of the Italian Air Force headed from Ciampino to Milan to take on the medical team of the San Raffaele Hospital and the related equipment needed to allow patient transport. Given the pathology, however, a helicopter from the Pratica di Mare air rescue service was also required, which allowed the doctors, who had arrived in Naples in the meantime, to reach Lagonegro where the patient was taken. Later they were all transferred to the Falcon 50 that from the military airport of Naples Capodichino took off again to Milan. The plane landed at Linate at 01: 05 of the night, the time when the mission ended successfully.
