Sunday 26 October, a Falcon 50 aircraft and a Falcon 900 aircraft got up in flight to transport two compatriots in need of immediate specialist care, respectively from Brindisi to Pisa and from Bari to Bologna.
Monday 27 October, a Falcon 50 transported a twenty-seven year old suffering from a very serious heart failure from Olbia to Naples, entrusting him to the care of the doctors who awaited him at Capodichino airport.
On Tuesday 28 October, a Falcon 50 also transported a forty-three year old awaiting kidney transplant from Gioia del Colle to Verona. On the same day, a Falcon 900 allowed a twenty-nine-year-old compatriot, suffering from a very serious allergic condition that prevents him from being transported on inadequately sterilized vehicles, to return to Italy from England.
On Wednesday, 29, a Falcon 900 was always taken off with the utmost urgency from the top room of the military aeronautics to transport a child of only 3 years from Cagliari airport to Bologna. The child, suffering from dilated cardiomyopathy, needed urgent specialist care.
Friday 31 October, a Falcon 50 embarked a newborn of only 4 months at the Catania airport to transport it to Ciampino. The small patient, suffering from a very serious cardiac malformation, needed an urgent hospitalization at the Bambin Gesù hospital in Rome.
Finally, Saturday 1 November, two aircraft, a Falcon 900 and a Falcon 50, took off from Ciampino at a time, respectively, of Palermo and Alghero: the first carried a child of 2 years, suffering from a serious pathology, to Bari Palese, the second flight has instead taken a newborn of 7 months, in imminent danger of life, to transfer it to Genoa in order to receive medical care of the case.
The Air Force ensures the emergency medical transport of the sick, seriously traumatized, people in imminent danger of life and organs for transplants, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, through the use of aircraft from the fleet of State, assigned to the 24st Wing of Ciampino, and other assets supplied to the armed force (C-31J, C-130, P-27, HH 180), coordinated by the top situations room of the aeronautical staff.
