Aerocooperation School: Nato certification renewed for “Forward Air Controllers” courses

Friday 11 ended successfully on March Staff Assistance Visit (SAV) carried out by NATO FAC Capabilities and Standardization Team ofAllied Air Command (AIRCOM) of Ramstein (Germany), for the periodic assessment of compliance with NATO standards of the entire training process of the Forward Air Controllers (FAC) developed by the Aero-cooperation Course Command of the Guidonia Inter-Force Institute.

During the audit, the NATO team examined every logistical, organizational, educational and training aspect of the FAC courses; in short, all the capacities put in place by the Aerocooperation School to maintain the highest level of standardization of the training supply have proved to be adequate to guarantee excellent parameters in the specific sector of interest.

During the tests, the NATO team examined and tested the skills and potential expressed by the School simulator, in terms of realism, immersion, scenario quality, integration with human resources and technical fidelity.

The evaluators appreciated the planning and conduct capabilities of the complex missions of Close Air Support virtual and real, which provide for the use of systems and equipment necessary for targeting, marking and designation of targets.

A result that confirms the remarkable quality level achieved by the Aerocooperation School in terms of training offer and that highlights how fundamental the synergy and sharing of intents work has been with the collaboration of Defense Innovation Center of the General Staff of Defense, the Aviation Training Center English of the Air Force and the departments of the armed forces that in their own name have sent their own support staff.
