Renewed agreement between AM and Leonardo-Finmeccanica for the training of helicopters

21 July 2016 signed the agreement between the Air Force and the Leonardo-Finmeccanica helicopter division providing training on flight simulators for all pilots AW139, HH139 and UH139 . The agreement concludes a period of intense efforts by the armed forces to ensure this essential part of the training for each pilot of rotating wing lines based on AgustaWestland139 helicopter, half today employed by the AM for both 'advanced training for aerial rescue and high state transportation.

The collaboration between the 72 Stormo, the 15 Stormo and the 31 Stormo led to the definition of a training program on a flight simulator that maximized the hours of employment of the crews employed and at the same time compendium of the training activity with which every day the flying groups ensure the progress of the qualifications and the maintenance of the operational capabilities of their pilots; once this program has been defined and agreed upon with the Company on Command for Special Forces and Support, a superordinate body to which several helicopter flocks are responsible, has delegated the 31 Stormo to the definition of administrative procedures aimed at allowing the navigating personnel deployed on different Departments concerned to be able to carry out the training in question.

The administrative section of 31 Stormo therefore took care of carrying out the contractual part, arriving on last Thursday at the important signature between theg. Luigi Cereti, director - italian government business unit of Leonardo-Finmeccanica spa and the commander of the 31 Stormo of Ciampino col. Filippo Quagliato.
