Today a young man of 27 years admitted to the intensive care unit of the Santissima Annunziata civil hospital in Sassari, was urgently transferred from the Airport Air Force Detachment of the Alghero Air Force (SS) to the Bologna airport with a 900 Falcon 31 ° Ciampino Wing (RM).

The request for emergency transport by aircraft of the Italian Air Force to the Bologna airport for the subsequent admission to the intensive care unit of the Institute of Rehabilitation of Montecatone in Imola (BO) was motivated by the impossibility of using ordinary carriers , due to the very serious vertebral lesions of the patient resulting from a car accident.

The Falcon 900 arrived at the military airport of Alghero around 10.00 and awaited the arrival of the ambulance which arrived at the airport at 10.45. The traumatized young man was loaded on board the aircraft with the ambulift made available by So.Ge.A.Al, the management company of the civil airport of Alghero.

The Falcon 900 then took off at 11.10 with destination Bologna - Borgo Panigale where the staff of the Imola Rehabilitation Institute awaited the patient.
