At Palazzo AM the conference for the 100th anniversary of the Aeronautical Commissariat Corps

In the prestigious setting of Palazzo Aeronautica, the conference entitled "One hundred years of the Air Force - One hundred years of the Air Commissariat Corps" took place last October 25th, an event which was celebrated in the presence of the Chief of Staff of the Air force general Luca Goretti, the centenary of the constitution of the corps. 

The meeting, aimed at emphasizing through the intervention of authoritative speakers, the role that the corps plays in the service of the Armed Forces in relations with public institutions, was attended by the highest authorities of the armed force, the heads of the Army corps Italian and Navy, the heads of the aeronautical commissary corps on leave, the leading officers of the commissary corps, the administrative service heads - an expression of the corps' operations at the peripheral joints of the Armed Force - and a significant portion of student officers commissioners who are completing their training course at the Pozzuoli Air Force Academy.

The Chief of Staff, in his greeting address, highlighted how the events related to the Centenary of the Armed Forces, in addition to having a celebratory connotation, essentially constitute a vehicle to raise awareness and appreciation among the citizens' community. “what the men and women of the Air Force are capable of doing”. The general Goretti expressed the hope that the police force will increasingly be able to open up to the outside, establishing profitable relationships with public institutions to create a virtuous osmotic process. He finally concluded that the profound meaning to be attributed to this day of celebration is that of knowing how to learn from the past to project ourselves into the future. 

The following spoke as speakers: the Public Prosecutor at the Military Court of Rome - Dr. Antonio Sabino, the central director of the central office of administrative inspections of the Ministry of Defense - Dr. Marina Iaderosa, the president of ENAV - lawyer. Alessandra Bruni, councilor of the Court of Auditors and deputy general secretary – Dr. Francesco Targia, the general secretary of the State Attorney's Office – lawyer. Maurizio Greco, as well as Gen. insp. retired chief Giuseppe Montefusco, head of the corps, from October 2004 to December 2006, as dean among the heads of the aeronautical commissary corps. 

The head of the aeronautical police force, chief inspector general Sergio WM Li Greci, during his speech, highlighted the foresight demonstrated by the founding fathers in identifying in the police force the component that the Armed Force had and absolutely needs to complete their tasks. In this sense, specified the general. For the Greeks, the body performs the function of lifeblood for the correct functioning of the Armed Forces, just as blood is for the human body. On the other hand, the head of the body continued by way of example: “the role played daily by all the officers belonging to the Corps can be compared to electricity because it is there even if you cannot see it”.

During the proceedings, the head of the corps had the opportunity to present the book dedicated to the history of the police force, its evolution over time and future prospects, entitled: “The Air Commissariat Corps, one hundred years of service to the Air Force”. Finally, he concluded by urging the officers of the corps in service to be protagonists of the present and future as implementers of the motto of the centenary of the AM: “flying towards the future”.
