On Friday 18 September, with the last exams at the Aero Club of Pisa, the flight training practice that saw 28 students of the "Giulio Douhet" school engaged on ultralight sports recreational equipment at the various Aero locations Club of Italy.
The activity began last July with the theoretical course at the School and continued with the practical part at the headquarters of the Aero Club of Lecce “Fondone”, Pisa “Valdera”, Vercelli “Marilla Rigazio” and Pordenone “La Comina ".
The "Young Eagles" program, intended for young students of the first and second year of the classical high school and scientific high school of the "Giulio Douhet" military aeronautical school, is a project included in the training offer plan and dedicated to young students interested in the development of passion for flying, which participate voluntarily in the extra-curricular activities of the school itself.
The project stems from a memorandum of understanding stipulated between the Italian Air Force and the Italian Aeroclub, with the aim of promoting and developing aeronautical activities as well as the diffusion of aeronautical culture, through the activity of familiarization on the fly on devices ultralights.
