The Frecce Tricolori pay homage to Saint Nicholas

On the occasion of the celebrations of the Patron Saint, the second day of celebration for the Saint of Mira took place on Friday, between the sacred and the profane.

As two years ago there was the presence of the Frecce Tricolori that gathered Bari, pilgrims and tourists on the seafront. The Italian riders were greeted with enthusiasm and kept adults and children with their noses upturned, offering a show of always exciting figures surrounded by applause and amazement.

The PAN show was one of the most anticipated events of the party but not the only one: the performance was preceded by a rescue demonstration at sea with the HH139A helicopter of the 84 ° SAR Center in Gioia del Colle. Rescue capacity has recently saved passengers and crew from a Greek ferry.

At the Petruzzelli theater, a conference was held last Thursday with astronaut Luca Parmitano who recounted his experience in space and aeronautics.

Presented by Ten.col. Mario Greco of the AM, Parmitano was warmly welcomed by the citizens and by the mayor, Antonio Decaro, who gave him the keys to the city. Parmitano "Italian ambassador of science in the world" then met the pilots of the aerobatic team of the Frecce Tricolori, led by ten.col. Jan Slangen.
