The AM flies to the 2015 Motodays

From the 5 to the 8 March, the IIV Edition of the "Motodays" was held in Rome, the Motorcycle and Scooter salon in Central and Southern Italy. During the 4 days of the event, two-wheel enthusiasts had the opportunity to approach the aeronautical world, through the stand that the Air Force set up in one of the pavilions of the Fiera di Roma, hosting, among others , the flight simulator of the National Aerobatic Team, the cockpit of the F104 aircraft and a half quad of the 17 ° Stormco Incursori of Furbara.

Books, tables of historical aircraft and the Aeronautical Magazine in the frame of an area where visitors could touch and interact with the staff of the Blue Weapon and learn about the various activities carried out.

There were many exciting moments, starting with the opening of the event with the performance of the Blue Butterflies, followed on Saturday by the presence of sergeant Paolo Pizzo, world fencing champion in 2011 and Silver Medal at the European Championships in 2014, to then conclude with the chief airman Paolo Ottavi, silver medalist at the Mediterranean Games 2013, who performed in front of a large audience performing a horse exercise with handles.

"The presence of the Air Force is a source of pride for us because it has always been the most visited stand and above all because in this moment of crisis it is good for the institutions to make their role understood", declared the president of the Fair Mauro Mannocchi "[ ...] and I hope for the presence of the Blue Army for next year ".

Guests at the stand were the riders Leon Haslam and Jordi Torres, protagonists of the Superbike world championship with Aprilia Red, Nicola Dutto, the first professional paraplegic rider in history, who finished third in the "Baia 1000" and the master Demo Morselli, accompanied by the retired colonel Massimo Morico.

The event ended with well 145.000 visitors and over 441 exhibitors, given a slight increase compared to the previous edition.
