The AM contributes to "Safe Roads" in Caserta

22/04/15

The "Safe Roads" operation began in April last 17, in which the Air Force also participates with a structure of approximately 40 units coming from various departments of the armed force which, integrated with the units of the Italian Army, ensures surveillance to sensitive targets in competition with the police.

The operation derives from the law n. 125 2008 and subsequent additions with urgent measures in the field of public security, which has authorized, for specific and exceptional needs for crime prevention, the use of a contingent of military personnel placed at the disposal of the Prefects of the provinces concerned.

This contribution to supervision and patrolling "on the road" is in addition to that provided to the Asylum Requesting Center of Borgo Mezzanone (FG) and to the Emergency and First Reception Center of Lampedusa, which ended in 2014.

The NCO AM School has already provided support for the "Strade Pulte" and "Strade Sicure" operations in the period from 2008 to 2014.
