The AM will train the pilots of the Air Force of the Netherlands

In the presence of the Minister of Defense, Senator Roberta Pinotti, in the frame of the EXPO, the heads of the Italian and Dutch Air Force, General Pasquale Preziosa and General Alexander Schnitger, signed an important cooperation agreement in the field of training in training yesterday flight.

The agreement provides for the detachment of an instructor and two student pilots of the Royal Netherlands Air Force at the Galatina Flight School (Lecce). This first group constitutes, in the intentions of the two countries, the nucleus of a fruitful cooperation destined to continue over the years.

The instructor and the two students will follow the training programs that are the standard for Italian military pilots, a standard already recognized and appreciated by other countries, who have sent their staff to train at the Lecce School. In fact, the new training program, recently redesigned to adapt to the progress of technology, and above all the arrival of the new T-346 training structures, are viewed with great interest by all foreign aeronautics intent on acquiring 5 ^ generation military aircraft .

With this agreement, the potential of the Galatina base, seat of the 61st Wing, as a multinational training hub, is confirmed once again.
