In fact, 26 experts attended, including 23 from 15 European countries, the consultant for International Training of the Defense Information Research Institute (ISTRID) and 2 American academics of the University of Pennsylvania for the "Extended Hands" project which, developed by 'Allied Command for NATO Transformation in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania, allows cadets and students from all over the world to share knowledge and points of view on topical issues via web meetings.
During the meetings we also talked about European Common Modules and the European Security and Defense College (ESDC) and the potential of the “Extended Hands” project was explored.
In this context, in line with the Allievo al Centro program, the cadets of the Aeronautical Academy are attending specific modules including the one relating to "Leadership and Agility in Complex Environments", which is attracting considerable interest so much that the Luftwaffe has advanced a offer of collaboration for the future. Furthermore, in Pozzuoli, the dialogues managed by Extended Hands are used as a tool for cultural study complementary to the already solid political education provided by the degree program.
The working group has elaborated a series of proposals that will be illustrated and submitted to the approval of the commanders of the European Academies, adhering to the EUAFA assembly, next June when the "Commandants' Conference" will be held in Pozzuoli.
