In the framework of international cooperation activities aimed at consolidating relations between the air forces of Italy and Chile, the visit of the Chief of the General Staff of the Chilean Fuerza Aerea, general de aviacion Lorenzo Villalon del Fierro, was held on Tuesday, 22 September. at the Experimental Flight Center (CSV) of Pratica di Mare. To accompany the general Villalon del Fierro, the chief of staff of the Air Force, general of aerial team Paolo Magro.
The program of the visit, after the welcome of the General of the Air Division Fabio Molteni, commander of the CSV, started with a video on the center and its multiple activities of study and experimentation.
The delegation then moved to the flight line of the Experimental Flight Department (RSV), where it was able to watch a demonstration flight of the Agusta Westland AW-149 helicopter.
Subsequently the visit of the chemical department took place, which carries out analysis, control, investigation and experimentation activities in the field of materials science, analytical chemistry and product category. The department is often used by the aeronautical weapons and airworthiness department, by the national flight safety agency and, upon specific request, by the prosecutor's offices.
The visit of the CSV facilities aroused the interest of the delegation.
