The 82 ° CSAR trains with Alpine Rescue

Yesterday a training activity was held at the 82 ° CSAR Center (Combat Search and Rescue) of Trapani with the CNSAS 10 ^ Zone - Sicily (National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps) which saw 12 rescuers engaged in recovery activities with winch in inaccessible areas.

At the Trapani Birgi airbase, home of the 82 °, preparatory briefings were held for the activity and a flight was carried out with the HH-139A helicopter supplied to the SAR Center. The designated area for the exercise was Macari (Trapani), training the CNSAS personnel to be recovered with the winch both individually and in double slings, simulating to rescue and recover a wounded person from inaccessible areas.

"The return of the training activity carried out, as every year, was usually very paying thanks to the high professionalism of the 82 ° CSAR crews," said Dr. Biancone, head of the CNSAS Sicily.

The 82 ° CSAR Center is one of the Departments of the 15 ° Wing of the Air Force that guarantees 24 hours on 24, for 365 days a year, on HH-139A helicopters, search and rescue of flight crews in difficulty, also contributing to activities of public utility such as the search for missing persons at sea or in the mountains, emergency medical transport of sick people in danger of life and the rescue of serious traumatized persons. From its constitution to the present, the crews of the 15 ° Stormo have saved about 7.000 people in danger of life.
