Infected AM helicopter rescue

Last night an AB 212 helicopter of the 80 ° Combat SAR Center (Search and Rescue) of Decimomannu (CA) rescued a passenger from the life-threatening ship "Costa Diadema", about 50 miles south east of Sardinia.

The rescue was coordinated and activated, at 20:25, by the Rescue Coordination Center (RCC) of the Air Force Operations Command (COA) of Poggio Renatico (FE).

The helicopter took off from Decimomannu military airport at 21: 45, with 5 crew members on board, a doctor and a nurse from the “Brotzu” hospital in Cagliari.

The ship was reached at 22:45 pm and the victim was recovered, by means of a stretcher lowered with the winch, to be transported to the Cagliari hospital.

The helicopter returned to the Decimomannu Base at 23pm.
