Thursday 21 December, in Rivolto, in the historic hangar of the Frecce Tricolori, the usual presentation of the Training and Poster of the National Acrobatic Team for the year 2024 was held.
The event, chaired by the air division general Luigi Del Bene, commander of the combat forces, now represents a traditional meeting for the PAN, representing an important opportunity to meet with local realities, the Frecce Tricolori Club, friends and enthusiasts.
During the event, Lieutenant Colonel Massimiliano Salvatore, commander of the 313th aerobatic training group, presented the new formation that will be the protagonist of the 64tha aerobatic season of the Frecce Tricolori.
The key positions of Pony 1 (training manager) e Pony 6 (leader of the 2a section) see Major Pierluigi Raspa and Major Franco Paolo Marocco confirmed.
News, however, for the other positions of the Patrol: the solo flight, carried out last season by Lieutenant Colonel Salvatore, will see the protagonist Pony 10 major Federico De Cecco.
For wingman positions, the only confirmation is the first right wingman, Pony 3, with captain Leonardo Leo, while the rest of the lineup will see captain Luca Pozzani as Pony 2, Captain Alessandro Sommariva as Pony 4, Captain Simone Fanfarillo as Pony 5, Captain Giovanni Morello as Pony 8 and Major Oscar Del Do' as Pony 9.
The new entry into the lineup will be captain Emanuele Bernuzzi, pilot of Euro Fighter coming from the 4th fighter wing of Grosseto, which will fly in the position of Pony 7, third left wingman.
The evening then saw the presentation of the 2024 poster to the public Frecce Tricolori, with an image depicting the colored smoke of the MB339PANs in flight over the Strait of Messina.
The first copy of the poster was delivered to Gen. s.a. (on leave) Giuseppe Bernardis, former commander of the PAN and former chief of staff of the Air Force, symbolizing the strong bond with the tradition of those who over time wrote the history of the 313th aerobatic training group.
A space was then dedicated to charity, this year donated to ANDOS, "National Association of Breast Operated Women", also made possible thanks to the precious contribution of the Frecce Tricolori Club.
Finally, the presentation evening was a favorable opportunity to announce the dates of the next "Tour" Frecce Tricolori – NAT24 (North American Tour 2024) – to be held between the United States and Canada after over 30 years of absence overseas. The air show calendar for 2024, including institutional overflights and Air Show Italians, will be published in the coming weeks.
