Last Thursday two Italian pilots completed the first training flight with the F-35 Lightning II at Luke's USAF base.

The two compatriots began their training under the supervision of the 56th Training Squadron last September 21, with 90 days of lessons and activities with the simulator before boarding the plane. “The new pilots will be trained in an environment where they learn to work with other nations, both from a practical and tactical point of view”, commented one of the two Italian pilots. “The pilots who train with this course will be able to fly on different platforms, with perfect integration”.

Back in Italy, Italian pilots will contribute to the development of training programs for national air forces and will open the way for the new generation of F-35 pilots.

Good vision!
