Hiker falls into a cliff, the rescue of the AM

Yesterday an AB 212 helicopter of the 15 ° Wing of the Italian Air Force, carried out a recovery mission of a traumatized precipitated in a cliff in the area north of Guspini.

Following the alert received by the air operations command of Poggio Renatico (FE), an AB 212 from the 80th Combat SAR (Search and Rescue) Center in Decimomannu (CA) took off. The location, given the condition of night flight, was made possible thanks to the use of Night Vision Google (NVG).
On site, the traumatized patient had already received assistance and had been placed inside a stretcher by the operators of the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Center (CNSAS). Not being able to land, the recovery of the man took place through a rescue winch and was immediately transported to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari.
