United Arab Emirates: Al Minhad's TFA command change

The transfer of deliveries to the command of the Task Force Air of Al Minhad between Colonel Maurizio Colonna, outgoing commander, and Colonel Leonardo Barone, incoming commander.

La Task Force Air - Al Minhad guarantees the influx of personnel, resources and materials to the national contingents in the theaters of operation (Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq and Somalia), ensuring the efficiency of the aircraft and the technical means used for transport. Furthermore, it ensures the health activity through theAeromedical Staging Unit, providing medical treatment in the case of MEDEVAC / STRATEVAC to staff from the various operating theaters.

The ceremony was attended by the air division general Stefano Salamida, deputy commander of the Interoperable Summit Operations Command (COI), air vice marshal Innes, commander of the Australian JTF633, col. Ali Alketbi Matar, deputy commander of Al Minhad air base and all foreign contingent commanders present at the airport.

Col. Colonna taking the floor he wanted to thank the staff of all the armed forces, thanks to which it was possible to fly thousands of hours and manage hundreds of ships and airplanes, achieving all the objectives assigned in maximum safety and without interruption. the strategic function of support and logistic connection with the national contingents operating in difficult theaters like the Afghan, Iraqi and the Horn of Africa.

General Salamida, in his speech thanked the Emirate authorities and all the representatives of the contingents located on Al Minhad for collaboration, praising the work done by the Task Force Air "Example of a national excellence far from the mother country". He later thanked Col. Column for the excellent management of Task Force during the command period, and referring to col. Barone sincere wishes for good work.
