Dual transport of the 46 ^ BA to save two children

05/02/15

46 ™ Air Brigade's double intervention, on Wednesday 4 February, to carry out two emergency transports: the first, which took off from Pisa around the morning 5, allowed emergency transport from Alghero to Genoa of a child of only two days.

The second took off in the afternoon, around 17 pm, to transport another four-month-old baby from Bari to Ciampino.

Both flights were arranged by the Situation Hall of the Military Aviation Summit that followed the requests made by the prefectures of Sassari and Bari.

In both cases, the aircrafts used, a C-130J of the Air Force, allowed the transport of patients within the respective ambulances, which can be loaded on the transport brigades of the Transport Brigade of Pisa.

The 46ª Air Brigade makes daily available one of its aircraft exclusively for the transport of people in immediate danger of life. In many cases, in fact, the transport by air is the most suitable and quick to save lives especially, as in one of the cases above, when it is necessary to reach the islands.
