Yesterday morning, a Falcon 50 of the 31 ° Stormo took off from Ciampino to Cagliari Elmas to pick up a compatriot of 58 years declared by the doctors of the Sardinian hospital in imminent danger of life.
The patient, who was harnessed aboard the aircraft directly on his stretcher and with the medical devices that guaranteed his stability, was immediately transported to Milan Linate airport, where an ambulance was waiting to transfer him to a hospital with adequate care capacity to the serious pathology that afflicted him.

During the night another flight was made to transport in time, from Palermo to Pisa, a liver for a transplant at the Santa Chiara hospital in the Tuscan capital.

Both flights were requested, from their respective territorial prefectures, to the situation room of the Rome Air Force Command that after analyzing them sent them as a flight order to the Department.

The vehicles supplied with the 31 flock are capable of carrying out all types of medical and health transport, in addition to passenger transport, adapting their internal predisposition to the needs of the patient and guaranteeing compatibility with the most disparate systems and medical devices such as the "ambulift" system thanks to which non-walking and stabilized patients can be safely and quickly embarked without the slightest movement.
