The first mission was arranged by the Situation Room of the Air Squad Command to transport a fifty-year-old suffering from severe post-infarct heart disease from Pescara to Milan that required immediate surgical operation at a specialized facility.
During the flight the crew was contacted again by radio from the Departmental Operations Room to perform another medical transport.
A medical team was embarked at Linate to transport it to Ancona: here the doctors, together with the local 118 operators, took a sixty-year-old patient suffering from severe cardiorespiratory decompensation from the intensive care unit of the local hospital.
After boarding the patient, stretched out and kept stable by the extra-body circulation system, the aircraft took off for Milan Linate where the patient was transferred to the San Raffaele hospital.
