We were able to implement and test the capabilities of the Special Operation Air Task Group, integrating all the terrestrial and aerial components dedicated to conducting the Special Operations and supporting them ". With these words, the director of the exercise Colonel Tomaso Invrea, declared the" Taglia Scaglia 2016 "concluded.

During the three training weeks, the specific logistical support capabilities of an air mission were tested and further developed, thanks to the involvement of all Departments dependent on the 1st Special Operations Air Brigade (BAOS) and the components of the Air Force of "Combat Support" and "Combat Service Support".

The commander of the 1ª OS Air Brigade, Air Brigadier General Francesco Saverio Agresti, in thanking the participants said he was "proud of the exceptional work done by all the staff for their contribution to the exercise. This, once again, was an opportunity to continue the integration process of assets and forces of the Air Force, creating synergies that multiply and amplify the results obtained by the individual components. "

Some numbers of the exercise: 320 military personnel unit, about 42 flight hours and over 120 hours of simulated activity, within a field redevelopment, purposely created on the military airport of Cervia, equipped with all the technical and logistic services necessary for the maintenance of the exercise. 

They took part in the "Tende Scaglia 2016": the 1st Special Operations Air Brigade of Cervia (RA), the 9th Wing of Grazzanise (CE), the 15th Wing of Cervia (RA), the 16th Wing "Protection of the Forces" of Martina Franca (TA) with the employee Centro Cinofili AM of Grosseto, the 17 ° Stormo "Incursori" of Furbara (RM). They also made a fundamental contribution on Air Operations Command (COA) of Poggio Renatico (FE), the 46th Air Brigade of Pisa, the 3rd Wing of Villafranca (VR), the Mobile Command and Control Department (RMCC) of Bari, the Command and Control Systems Innovation Management Department (ReGISCC) and the Electronic Warfare Technical Support Department (ReSTOGE) of Pratica di Mare (RM).
