Command change at 93 ° and 306 ° Special Transport Flight Group

It was held on Tuesday 13 September at the hangar of the Aircraft Efficiency Service of the 31 ° Stormo of Ciampino the ceremony of change command at the top of 93 ° and 306 ° Special Transport Flight Group.

The handover, in the presence of Colonel Filippo Quagliato, commander of the 31st Wing, sanctioned the installation of the new commander of the 93rd Group.

In his farewell speech, the outgoing commander retraced his "exciting and demanding" three years of command, recalling the numerous qualifications acquired by his men and the achievement "in seven months of full operational capacity on the P-180 aircraft", the fourth flight line inserted in the 93rd Group. The outgoing commander also said he was proud to leave his successor "a united, solid Group capable of facing any challenge" and grateful to his men and women for "the affection, professionalism and above all the trust shown" .

Ready to take on the new position and grateful for the trust given by the superior authorities, the incoming commander greeted the collaborators in his previous post as head of operations office thanking them for "the hard, silent and incessant work" comparing the work of the department "to constant and seamless action of a watch ”.

After the change of command at the top of the 93rd Flying Group, the handover to the command of the 306th Flying Group took place.

In taking leave of his argonauts after two years of command, the outgoing commander underlined the achievement of some important objectives such as the acquisition of "new qualifications, new second pilots, crew chiefs and specialty instructors to allow the fulfillment of daily tasks and the execution of missions in complete safety ". His thanks went “to the tireless work of his closest collaborators, flight technicians and flight attendants”.

In taking on the new position, the incoming commander sincerely thanked for the trust given knowing that what awaits him will be "a year full of challenges in which the ability to operate simultaneously with civil and military aircraft must be consolidated, guaranteeing what is required by the higher authorities in terms of Transportation of High State Offices need Emergency Medical Transport".

At the conclusion of the double command change, Colonel Filippo Quagliato took the floor by thanking the outgoing commanders for their work and reminding the men and women of the 93 ° and 306 ° Gruppo Volo that "the change of helm will be an incentive to keep the operational efficiency of the department at the highest level ". Addressing the personnel employed by him, Colonel Quagliato highlighted the passion with which they serve the country "every day as if it were normal. But all this is not normal, it is not routine.
