On the same day, the same aircraft allowed the return to Italy of a traumatized compatriot who ended a cycle of specialist medical care in England.
Sunday 1 ° February, always a Falcon 50 has carried out an emergency medical transport in favor of a woman suffering from a rare and serious respiratory pathology, from Crotone to Milan Linate.
The Falcon took off from Ciampino in the direction of Linate, where it took the medical specialist staff needed to assist the patient during the flight, after which it was redecorated to Crotone where the patient was waiting. At around 23, the flight returned to the Milan airport, where the patient and the accompanying team landed shortly after midnight.
On the night between Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 February, the Falcon aircraft of the 31 ° Stormo were engaged for two other medical transports in favor of two patients in need of organ transplantation: a compatriot transported from Naples to Bologna for a liver transplant and a patient always transported from Naples to Falconara for a renal transplant. The aircraft of the 31 ° Stormo of Ciampino are used for state transport and for public utility missions, such as emergency medical transport of the sick, severely traumatized and transplant organs, as well as for interventions in favor of people in any case in risk situations. This last activity, given the imminent danger of life of the transported people, imposes a level of readiness, twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year.
