26/08/15

An Air Force C-130J transport aircraft took off from Alghero airport with an ambulance on board carrying a six-month-old girl suffering from severe respiratory problems. The child, admitted to the neonatal ward of the Civil Hospital of Sassari, is transported to Ciampino for subsequent admission to the “Bambino Gesù” pediatric hospital in Rome.

The request for air transport, which was necessary to ensure immediate specialistic medical care for the little patient, was sent by the hospital to the prefecture of Sassari and was subsequently sent to the Top Situation Room of the Air Force Military Air Force Command which ordered the take-off immediate of a C-130J of the 46 ^ Air Brigade of Pisa.

The aircraft arrived at the military airport of Alghero shortly before 15.00 and loaded the pediatric ambulance of the "Blue Cross" of Sassari with the little patient and a medical team on board.
