At the 3 ° Stormo the French A400M

On Wednesdays 3 and Thursday 4 December, an A400M of the French Air Force landed for the first time on Italian territory, at the 3 ° Stormo of Villafranca di Verona (VR). The French aircraft is engaged in the EUFOR RCA multinational mission in the Central African Republic, in support of Italian troops stationed in the capital Bangui.

The A400M aircraft of the French Air Force (FAF) is used for the transport of materials, vehicles and equipment of various kinds.

The 3 ° Stormo once again supported the airlift to Bangui, ensuring the performance of the various Air Terminal Operations, Crash Fire & Rescue, Runway Operations & Cross Servicing and refueling services.

The 3 ° Stormo is designated as an APOE / APOD (National Air Port of Embarkation / Debarkation) for the material and personnel employed in the various Operating Theaters.

The Stormo ensures the capacity of the national Air Terminal Operation Center (ATOC) and represents the expression of the logistic capabilities of Projection of excellence (Expeditionary & Deployable).
