Aerocooperation: training week for Forward Air Controllers

It ended on Friday 8 April, at the Aerocooperation school of Guidonia (RM), the 14 ^ update session dedicated to the FAC (Forward Air Controllers) of the armed forces.

These training sessions have the purpose of keeping FAC operators “up-to-date” on the evolution of the reference doctrine and on the techniques, tactics and procedures (Techincs, Tactics and Procedures - TTPs) applied in the sector of use. Furthermore, from this year, these meetings are integrated by the “SIM CAS WEEKs”, specially structured by Aerocooperation school, for training targeted, by simulator, to the control of CAS (Close Air Support) guides, in an immersive environment with different scenarios and operational contexts, necessary to maintain the qualification levels of the operators.

La Aerocooperation school it is the military inter-agency of specialized training and technical-operative value in the field of the interpretation of remote sensing images (aerial and satellite) and in that of aeroterrestre and aeronavale cooperation. The training / training processes for Image Interpreters SAR and Forward Air Controllers have also obtained NATO certification. For the training and qualification of Forward Air Controllers, the School commander is the "National Certification Authority".
