17 visitors from the Army, the Navy and the Air Force have finished, at the Aerocooperation school of Guidonia (RM), the second and last phase of the 8 course RSMA (Remote Sensing Military Analyst).

The course provided, in four weeks, the basics for the treatment, interpretation and analysis of remotely sensed images, with particular reference to digital images from optical and electro-optical sensors.

The procedure completed thus far, valid for the Air Force for the acquisition of the qualification of "image data analyst", allows access to the higher level course of image analyst from mono and multi-sensor sensors, including the radar (RIA - Radar Imagery Analyst) which completes the professional training for "military analyst of remote sensing images".

The residential activity, subjected to a constant process of evaluation and updating in order to increase the training content and compliance with the needs of the Armed Forces, has been enhanced by some fact-finding visits to national operational realities such as the Navy destroyer “Durand de la Penne ”, the Grottaglie Air Station, the 36 ° Stormo of Gioia del Colle and the Military Arsenal of Taranto, where visitors could observe and evaluate live images from sensors installed on satellites and aircraft.
