AB-212 suffers a woman in danger of life on a cruise ship

Yesterday morning, an AB-212 helicopter from the military air force 80 ° SAR (Search and Rescue) center took off from the military airport of Decimomannu (Cagliari) to rescue a woman in imminent danger of life who was on board the Serenade of the Seas cruise ship, sailing off the island of Sant'Antioco, south-west of the Sardinian coast.

The order was received from the Rescue Coordination Center (RCC) of the Air Operations Command (COA) of Poggio Renatico (FE), responsible for coordinating the search and rescue service for the military aviation, the helicopter took off for the hospital "Brotzu" of Cagliari where a specialized medical team embarked. Subsequently the military helicopter reached the cruise ship where it landed to take the woman insured to a stretcher.

Once the boarding operations were completed, the AB-212 took off again for the "Brotzu" hospital in Cagliari, where it transferred the patient for the necessary medical treatment.
